COHESION Medical Ltd wins FSB Employer of the Year Award

Released: Wednesday 14th March 2018

COHESION is thrilled to have won the Scotland Employer of the Year Award at the Federation of Small Business Award ceremony in Edinburgh. Euan Cameron (CEO), Sophie Hamilton (Product Design Engineer) and Rachel Garvey (Marketing Executive) represented the team at the FSB (Federation for Small Business) Celebrating Small Business Awards, held at the Playfair Library in Edinburgh.

The recognition from this award will have a positive impact on our workforce, commercial operations and business networking which is vital for small innovative companies. COHESION actively works with its employees to continually develop a healthy working environment. COHESION has a well- established graduate programme as well as a ‘Health and Wellness at Work’ scheme which has been received well by all employees. The company also acknowledges the importance of social responsibility within the community and regularly provides work experience placements for young people and students from West College Scotland. We feel very honoured to have won this amazing award from the FSB.

Since winning the award, Alison Thewliss, MP for Central Glasgow has visited COHESION at our Glasgow offices. She was very interested to hear about what we do and how we are working on providing transformational change for healthcare in Scotland. This visit was highly beneficial for the company and provided further recognition and awareness of COHESION in Scottish and UK politics.

As a team, we regularly discuss ways to make day-to-day life in the office fun and since winning the Employer of the Year Award we will be sure to implement some new ideas. We are looking forward to working with the FSB in the near future and taking advantage of the help and support they provide to young Scottish companies.
