Released: Friday 27th July 2012

Gael Ltd has been unveiled as exclusive sponsors of the Edinburgh BioQuarter Regenerative Medicine Conference 2012.

The East Kilbride-based software company, who also have offices in the Middle East and America, help companies across this sector overcome the challenges of achieving and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Edinburgh BioQuarter’s Regenerative Medicine Conference will spark two days of discussion between industry colleagues on Tuesday, September 25th and Wednesday, September 26th. The event is designed to offer fresh perspectives on the challenges faced in developing therapies for regenerative medicine and historically attracts some of the leading names in the sector.

Gael will be sponsoring day one of the conference, which will involve presentations from a number of industry leaders on a range of topics concerned with translating science into therapeutic and commercial opportunities, as well as taking time out for a networking lunch. The second day will see the Advanced Therapeutic Medicinal Products (ATMP) Manufacturing Community, (the AMC) hold its fourth technical meeting.

More than 200 life science organisations worldwide - including Astra Zeneca, Reckitt Benckiser, Reading Scientific Services (RSSL) and Roslin Cells - rely on Gael to help and support them in demonstrating compliance to auditors, customers, regulators and third party organisations. By improving the management of their compliance processes and information, Gael helps companies across the marketplace focus on what’s important to overcome the challenges of achieving and maintaining regulatory compliance and increasing overall business efficiency.

James Wood, Head of Marketing and Communications for Edinburgh BioQuarter, is pleased to have someone of Gael’s stature in the sector on board. They said: “We are very pleased to welcome Gael Ltd as the exclusive sponsor of the daytime events associated with our 2012 Regenerative Medicine conference. “As an organisation with twenty years' experience of some of the issues we are discussing at our conference, namely quality assurance and quality control, they are a great fit both for us and for those attending the conference at the BioQuarter."

Jim Mather, Gael Chairman, said of the announcement: “We are absolutely delighted to be associated with Edinburgh BioQuarter, and we fervently hope that collaboratively playing our part in events such as this will go a long way to strengthening that relationship.

“It is a real honour to have been asked to sponsor this conference, and we are grateful for the opportunity to highlight our commitment to the life sciences sector even further as that will inevitably result in us helping many more organisations focus on what's important and widen our open-ended conversation with many more motivated people."
